Molecular Basis of Breast Cancer: Fundamental and Evolving Concepts will be presented by John W. Park, MD, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine and Director, Novel Therapeutics in Breast Oncology at the UCSF Comprehensive Cancer.

 

MBoC is an educational initiative sponsored by Genentech BioOncology to provide a synopsis of fundamental and evolving concepts on key molecular biomarkers currently impacting carcinogenesis with a special focus on breast cancer.

 

This presentation includes:

-An overview of molecular and breast cancer biology

-Discussion of acquired cellular properties that impact breast tumorigenesis

-Details on signaling pathways that are critical in the development of breast cancer

-Current and emerging pathways being explored in the development of anticancer strategies and personalized medicine in the treatment of breast cancer
